A Magical Ritual For the Equinox
This week marked the one year anniversary of going into lockdown throughout most of the U.S. and the world.
I know the past year and a half has been less than fun (for most of us) and you’ve had to weather many thunderstorms of doubt and fear. And, I know that after every storm a rainbow of hope appears.
If you’re feeling stagnant, tired or disempowered at this point, take heart, as the energy from tomorrow on will begin to lighten and possibly all of a sudden make you feel like you’ve hopped on a cosmic rocket ship taking off!
I’m sure you’re eager to reconnect to your magic. So let’s do this.
Here is a simple ritual to align yourself with the energy of the Equinox:
Part #1: Awaken with the Sunrise on March 20th (tomorrow) and if possible sit outside in meditation to absorb the first rays of the sun … which also marks the first day of Aries season! Have a journal near you to write down what comes through.
Are there any outer world phenomena that feel magical – like the appearance of birds or other animals in your presence? Any bodily sensations? Emotions arising? The light dancing in the leaves of a tree or shining on the surface of water?
Part #2: End your day by bathing in the energy of the Sunset.
Write down everything you are grateful for in the past annual cycle.
Write down what needs to be released to make space for the new adventures and joys that await you on the other side of the Equinox.

Tomorrow marks the balancing of day and night, logic and dreams, masculine and feminine … bring what has been out of balance in your life back into alignment and flow.
Allow yourself time to reflect on what you want to transform in your life before that rocket ship takes flight!
