Description
Holy Basil/Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum)
Used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine, a plant with an extremely rich history, especially for those of the Hindu faith. This plant is a member of the mint family and gets its common name from its history of being planted in and around the temples of India, as well as having a place in just about every Indian home, displayed in a prominent place and lovingly tended to by a member of the family. Tulsi is also sacred to Lakshmi.
This Adaptogenic plant helps inhibit the stress response, promotes a calm and meditative state of mind, is anti- inflammatory, diaphoretic, and is also indicated for headache, lower back pain, rheumatism, and general joint pain and inflammation.
Rose Petals (Rosa damascena)
Perhaps the oldest symbol and flower associated with the Divine Feminine, associated with the heart chakra, the number 5 and the pentagram, a symbol tied to the earth element and to abundance/wealth. Rose is anti-inflammatory, coolant (helps lower body temperature when overheated), circulatory, anti-depressant (for mild to moderate depression which is situational or hormonally triggered). Indicated for menstrual cramps, PMS/pre-menstrual tension, sadness, headaches, dry and/or wrinkled skin, and menopausal symptoms (hot flashes, mild depression, loss of libido, etc.).
Chai Spices
Cardamom, Ginger, Clove, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Star Anise blend: a traditional Indian blend used to improve circulation, digestion, and libido, and also to reduce pain and fever and curb sugar cravings/balance blood sugar. Also strongly associated with prosperity, with Star Anise being aligned with the third eye and psychic awareness.
Fruit Blend
Rosehips, Hibiscus, Apple, Dried Orange: It’s all about the Vitamin C! Chasing away the winter blues, Vitamin C is a key antioxidant that keeps skin looking radiant and supple while also fighting off sickness. In many traditions, fruit is associated with wealth, abundance, and sweetness of life, making this blend a wonderful offering to the Goddess Lakshmi and helping the tea drinker to embody these energies and attract them.
